Men's Senior National Team Mini-Camp To Start Next Week

Dixon's Success In World Championship Very Special
Jamie Dixon, who is the head coach at the University of Pittsburgh, and who also led the USA to their first gold medal in the Men's U19 World Championship since 1991, savored the gold medal he won on Sunday. For Dixon, it was even more special considering he got his start in coaching while playing professionally in New Zealand.

USA Women Defeat Russia, Bring Home Gold
The Women's World University Games team finished off their perfect run, going 7-0 in the tournament and winning gold by beating Russia 83-64 on Saturday. Tina Charles led the U.S. with 28 points and 18 rebounds.

Experienced Carol Owens Leads Women's U19 World Championship Team
Owens, who is the head coach at Northern Illinois University, is coaching for the third straight summer for USA Basketball. After going to Slovakia in 2007 and Argentina in 2008, Owens will head the Women's U19 World Championship Team that will compete for a gold in Thailand, held July 23-August 2.
